Destiny, the new game from Bungie, will release codes to access the beta over Facebook and Twitter.
The codes will be sent out randomly sometime this week and will allow lucky users the opportunity to test out the new game before its official release. The Beta itself won’t be available to play until early 2014.
For the time being, Bungie will continue to market the game, building massive hype in the process. The best way to sell a game is to make the players want it, even if they’re not quite sure what they’re getting into.
Bungie has been talking quite a bit about what they hope to accomplish with the release of Destiny, and their aspirations are pretty lofty.
It would seem they’re treating the Beta’s release in the same way and Eric Osborne, Bungie Community Manager, went on to say that:
Our ambition is to build big, rich destinations that players can visit over and over again, to fill them up with great story and moments that they can share with friends, and to deliver face melting action that leads to treasure, challenge, and discovery. We want to pour all of that secret sauce into the Destiny Beta.
No word yet on what the Beta will contain, but be on the look out for codes.
