Destiny 2 PVP Overhaul Announced

Season 15 of Destiny 2 is coming up on August 24, 2021, and with it will arrive many changes to the Destiny 2 PVP game modes. Earlier today, August 5, Bungie Software released an announcement detailing these changes that was accompanied by a Twitter thread written by assistant game director, Joe Blackburn. According to the announcement, there are 3 major areas that will receive changes both in season 15 and beyond: abilities, armor and mods, and weapons. This week’s post covered abilities, next week’s will cover armor and mods, and the week after that will feature weapons. The plan, according to the website, is to create more consistent PVP content in the future, and that will begin with the extensive changes to abilities detailed in the post.

The showcase mentioned in Blackburn’s tweets will also take place on August 24, and will feature information on the upcoming changes as well as the delayed expansion The Witch Queen, which is scheduled for release sometime in early 2022. Destiny 2 has a lot of exciting news coming up, so fans will want to keep an eye out for news about the game. People have been asking for PVP changes for some time, and they will be excited to hear the comprehensive plan Bungie Software is setting the stage for in upcoming seasons.
