Dementium II Set to Release on Steam on October 20th

As of the writing of this article, we’re getting closer and closer to Halloween. That means the day of horror and spooks is upon us, so many get into the festivities, look for horror games, and in October, many drop to capitalize on the season. And one particular horror game is dropping on October 20th, a week before Halloween: Dementium II, a first-person shooter that originally released on the DS. This time it comes in the form of a remaster, so new or returning players will be able to experience the game just tweaked to be played on modern hardware. Dementium II comes to PC via Steam on October 20th, with wishlists open now.
Dementium II originally released on DS and was later ported to Steam many years ago. And now it’s back as Atooi; the original devs have restored the game and are bringing it to Steam. Dementium II is a first-person horror-shooter sequel that picks up immediately after the first game. Though this is a sequel, you will not have had to play the first one to experience this one, as it picks up with William Redmoor waking with fresh staples in his skull, inside an institution for the criminally insane, where the walls keep peeling back to expose something worse. Fight, solve, and survive your way out. The game will feature more weapons, more monsters, each demanding its own strategy.

Dementium II is completely faithful to the original; it’s just been rebuilt for today’s hardware and involves the original devs of the game. Even though the game has been gone for many years, this remaster is set to bring the series back to a modern audience and showcases its horror story and gameplay that’s synonymous with survival horror. Dementium II comes to PC via Steam on October 20th, with wishlists open now.

Jorge Peredo: Growing up, I've always been fascinated by storytelling, whether through reading, watching, or playing video games. Having been exposed to storytelling for so long, I have been influenced, and through that influence, I seek to write and create my own stories that others can enjoy and that I can be proud of.
