Deathloop And Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Lead The Game Awards 2021 Nominees

Today, the nominees for The Game Awards 2021 have been revealed. Deathloop, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, It Takes Two, and Psychonauts 2 leading nominations. There are a total of 107 different games, individuals, teams, and events spotlighting the leading games, studios, and creatives from 2020-2021. Deathloop, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, and Resident Evil Village are the six titles up for Game of the Year.

Following last year’s fully virtual, record-setting show, The Game Awards 2021 will return as live, in-person ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre on Thursday, December 9, 2021, including the return of The Game Awards Orchestra, conducted by Lorne Valfe. It will be distributed as a global 4K UHD livestream across more than 40 global video, social, and gaming platforms. More details on additional musical performances, presenters, and the show’s biggest-ever world premiere slate will be announced in the coming weeks.

The newly combined Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda is the most nominated publisher with 20 nominations across its combined portfolio of games. Sony Interactive Entertainment is second with 11 nominations. Square Enix and Electronic Arts follow third with 10 nominations each.
