It looks like we won’t be waiting too much longer for the PC port of Death Stranding: Directors Cut for PC. The title was given its own Steam page, which got the attention of video game aficionados all over the internet. Once it looked like the cat was out of the bag, publisher 505 Games decided to make the official announcement, Death Stranding: Directors Cut will launch in Spring 2022 through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Keep in mind that this is not the same as the already released Death Stranding for PC that launched in July 2020. The Directors Cut comes with a plethora of enhancements which include a steady 60 frames per second, floaters being given the ability to follow you on ziplines, even more custom option for Sam and BB, more resting areas, easier access into other terrain areas, delivery bots appearing in the open world, and an actual weight mechanic made for the controller. All of this alongside the PC heavy specs that came with the original version makes the Directors Cut on PC a seriously good time to look forward to.
At the time of the announcement, it was thought that the Director’s Cut would only be made available for the PlayStation 5, as much of the in-game features were catered to the system’s DualSense controller and its haptic feedback. Even more intriguing is that the PC port seems to be implementing the new Intel graphic technology Xe Super Sampling (XeSS), which was leaked and shown via VideoCardZ who has been known to leak upcoming technology stories beforehand. This has since been confirmed by 505 Games in their post.
