Death Stranding Coming Soon on Xbox PC Game Pass

A former PlayStation exclusive its on its way to Microsoft. Today Kojima Productions and 505 Games announced that Death Stranding is coming to the Xbox PC Game Pass on August 23, 2022. Famed game creator Hideo Kojima fascinated the world with this title’s mind-bending plot and now with its addition to the Xbox Game Pass, allows for a whole new audience to experience its strangeness.

Death Stranding is a genre-defying open-world action-adventure starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner.

In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the globe, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With otherworldly creatures plaguing the landscape, and mass extinction imminent, it’s up to Sam Porter Bridges to travel across the ravaged wasteland and save humanity from impending annihilation.

Its entry into the Game Pass comes with enhancements, to better the player experience such as a higher frame rate and graphic quality. Exclusive features for this edition include an ultrawide mode, photo mode; Kojima also teased future cross-over content “from some very well-known franchises.” What these crossovers could be is still unknown. Players that decide to buy the PC Game Pass Edition will receive the following unlockable items through story progression:

• Chiral Gold / Omnireflector “Ludens Mask” Sunglasses (Color Variant)
• Gold and Silver Power Skeleton
• Gold and Silver All-Terrain Skeleton
• Gold and Silver Armor Plate

While there isn’t any more information about this new edition currently, fans can look forward to a Community Q&A guide some time in the future. Until then fans will have to wait and watch the 505 Games and Kojima Productions social media for future updates. Death Stranding comes to Xbox Game Pass on August 23, 2022, undoubtedly the PC Edition will fine-tune the game into the best version of itself and introduce more players to its mind-bending and strange world.
