PressA has launched a new trailer for the upcoming game Dead Cide Club, a complete 180 compared to their other unreleased game CookieRun: OvenSmash. Dead Cide Club is a side-scroller action game that includes co-op, battle royale, and zombies. The developers describe their game as “a new survival game where classic and trendy coexist.” The game was announced a year ago and officially closed beta testing in April of 2022. 

The fast-paced trailer features grappling hooks, grenades, and shields. Including goofy cosmetics, similar to Fortnite. Some of these cosmetics include horses, dinosaurs, and prisoner costumes. The game also has several cartels to choose from: Gangsters, Nerds, Prisoners, Agents, Psychopaths, Hipsters, and Soldiers. Each character has their own background story, perks, and weapons. The co-op game mode will only be three players. In co-op, coins are available for players to pick up and use to upgrade weapons. Players will have to use vending machines to get ammo and other supplies. Alongside monsters will be able to drop loot. The other game modes are described on their steam page as a “Battle Royale, in which players compete to be the last one standing, either alone or with teammates. Horde and Dominion, where strategic and cooperative play is integral to survival. The God Mode, where you can customize your own death game’s maps, rules, and rewards.” These extra game modes will help differentiate it from other battle royal games.

Due to it being a free game – Dead Cide Club will have competition with other games like Fortnite. Due to having the same target audience, Dead Cide Club will need to keep players returning with regular events and battle passes. The game will have to rely on players with in-game purchases for monetization. Dead Cide Club announced on Twitter that they will be releasing into early access on February 27 and will be available on Steam and PlayStation.
