Elaborate murder plots, struggling to survive, cultish summonings, and a classic series of haunting worlds. Dead By Daylight has it all for gamers who love both hard-core survival games and the horror genre, and they’ve been doing it for five years! Dead By Daylight was originally released on June 14th, 2016, and starting on June 30th, game developer Behaviour Interactive is hosting a two-week-long 5th Anniversary Limited-Time Event to celebrate half a decade of hacking and slashing. So sharpen your knives and get ready to survive this new event.
First, and perhaps the most exciting news for Dead By Daylight fans is the massive giveaway that’s happening for players who hop on during the event. Dead By Daylight is giving away 500,000 Bloodpoints to players for free, no gameplay necessary! Players will also be given a total of 9,000 Iridescent Shards throughout the event, which is enough to unlock a new character of their choosing. So dive in and get spending all those Bloodpoints and Shards you didn’t have to work hard for!
Giveaways, challenges, cosmetics, and more. Dead by Daylight’s 5th Anniversary event awaits…

During the two weeks, there will also be community challenges that will unlock even more content. The main focus of these community challenges is for players to collect Anniversary Crowns, which can be earned during matches by interacting with randomly spawned Crown Pedestals. When the player community as a whole reaches a certain threshold, new cosmetic items will be released. The most exciting of these earnable cosmetics are new outfits for David King and The Wraith.
Alongside the giveaways and challenges, Dead By Daylight will have an event going on from June 30th to July 15th, where players can unlock unique cosmetics, take advantage of slashed prices in the Shrine of Secrets rotations, and even eat some cake! As they play through the event, gamers will be able to find cake, which gives big bonuses when it comes to racking up more Bloodpoints to spend in the Bloodweb. New cosmetic changes to the game include small, party-themed trinkets for players to collect and even new flashlights and toolboxes that launch confetti to pretty up all those nasty-looking killers.
The start of the event also marks the re-release of the Raccoon Police Department as a playable map within the game. Originally taken down due to a glitchy release, the map has returned, and just in time to get in on all the festivities!
