Days Gone Coming to PC Next Month

Looks like another PlayStation exclusive is making its way to the PC platform. SIE Bend Studio has announced that Days Gone will be officially launching for PC on May 18 through Steam and the Epic Games Store. This will be the third PlayStation title to make the jump for PC gamers, with the other two being Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding. The PC version will offer some special features such as ultra-wide monitor support, improved graphics, and an unlocked framer per second for those looking to attain the desired high frame speed.

Some other new aspects that will be on the PC version include an enhanced photo mode, controller supports for multiple types, and of course support for mouse and keyboard for those who prefer that. The game follows the protagonist, Deacon St. John, a motorcycle rider who is trying to survive in the Zombie Apocalypse in the state of Oregon. While the game did not go over very well with reviewers and critics, it has since found itself a cult following and is now considered an underrated title on the PlayStation 4.

Days Gone has recently been a talking point in both the industry and the community as Bloomberg shed some light on the “rising tension” between Sony and some of their subsidiary studios. SIE Bend Studio also pitched the idea for sequel, Days Gone 2, but that was rejected in favor of a brand new Uncharted title with longtime Sony studio Naughty Dog. The timing of this reveal, alongside the Days Gone PC port announcement is rather intriguing, and will more than likely play into what comes next between the company and the developer. Either way, we’re happy to see the title come to the PC platform, and we won’t have to wait long to get our hands on it.

Days Gone will officially launch for PC on May 18 through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and a number of other digital retailers.
