Dauntless, the new monster-hunting free-to-play game has become quite the hit with over 15 million players and counting enjoying the new title. Now, Phoenix Labs is officially launching its cross-platform action-RPG Dauntless with a 1.0 update making it the full release as well as giving excited fans access to new content like the Aether Strikers, a new dual fist weapon, and the arrival of a fearsome new monster, Tempestborne Stormclaw.
Dauntless is a Mission-based monster hunting experience very similar to the popular game Monster Hunter. Players will go on missions on their own or with a party to take out large monsters in order to receive loot that will help them further upgrade their arsenal. For those fans of Monster Hunter, it all feels very familiar but Dauntless also adds its own flair with unique combat mechanics and graphic style. Fans who are loving the game will be excited to see that Phoenix Labs is already planned to dish out more content to players to further keep the experience fresh.
The most anticipated new addition to the game is the new weapon, the Aether Strikers. This new weapon is a dual fist weapon that will utilize speed and agility to quickly pummel your foes do maximize damage. Not only that, the strikers have a unique feature that allows you to change mantras while performing different combos, this will later allow you to use a surge attack Slayer to punch and pass through their target and reposition themselves in the heat of battle. The other large addition is the new monster that players will be able to hunt called the Tempest Stormclaw which is a wild wolf-like creature that utilizes lightning attacks. Players will need to stay on their toes because this monster will have a large number of tricks up its sleeve like fast projectile attacks and tapes it will lay on the ground.

Dauntless is available free-to-play on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will also arrive on Nintendo Switch later this year.
