Red Hooks Studios just announced they will be releasing their gothic horror RPG Darkest Dungeon on September 27th for PS4 and PS Vista.
According to IGN, Darkest Dungeon had only previously been released through Steam Early Access as early as January 2015 and then it was released early this year for Windows and Mac; but now the developers have announced that game will come to the PS4 and PS Vita platform.
Darkest Dungeon is an RPG Gothic rouge-like game which focuses on giving gamers the experience of the psychological stresses of adventuring. In the game you inherit a manor that is infested with undead horrors and evil beings. Your goal is to lead a team of flawed heroes – which you can recruit and train – through the large and massive estate in order to rid the manor of its demons. You will venture out into dark, twisted forests, ruined crypts, and beyond. Darkest Dungeon tests your psychological limits and stress threshold by not only pitting you up against fearsome foes, but by also testing you against stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching darkness.
For those of you owning a PS4 or a PS Vita here’s Red Hooks Studios’ official trailer, released earlier this year:
If you’re into tabletop gaming, dungeon crawling and Dark Fantasy, and you happen to own a PS4 or a PS Vita, you should definitely check out this gothic horror RPG, which is priced at $25. Sony fans had been feeling like they were kept out of the loop so it looks like Red Hooks Studios will make it up to them by including new content in the PlayStation version, including 15 total heroes to play with and a larger campaign that will have 40 different Town Events added. Darkest Dungeon will include both cross-buy and cross-save support.
