Daft Punk is back, kind of. Epic Games and the beloved music duo Daft Punk have announced a new interactive tribute experience coming to Fortnite this weekend on Saturday, September 27, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM UK time. This isn’t the traditional Fortnite concert experience. The Daft Punk Experience will be a fully interactive playground that includes multiple rooms with different ways to experience Daft Punk’s music.
Players will be able to remix and create mashups of songs, create LEGO music videos featuring the band, or make their avatars dance at the Daft Club. The Club features a supercut of footage from the Alive tour and Alive 2007 live album.
The Daft Punk bundle includes multiple distinctive style options, a double-neck guitar-and-bass instrument, emotes for Around the World and Get Lucky songs, and jam tracks for Get Lucky, Instant Crush ft Julian Casablanas, and The Weeknd’s Starboy and I Feel It Coming. There is also an assortment of Daft Punk-themed LEGO sets in the shop, including a large pyramid that lights up in time with any music playing nearby.
The bundle will be available in the Fortnite Shop starting September 25, at 8 PM ET.
Epic Games emphasized that this is not the band getting back together after they retired. This is “an immersive music experience based on the band’s beloved music. The band is not getting back together.”
There will be no new music. All the songs included have been previously released. The Daft Punk Experience will be available for a while. Players can access it in Discover in the “By Epic” row or by searching for “Daft Punk Experience.
