We’re at the home stretch for what is arguably the most anticipated title of 2020; Cyberpunk 2077. After three delays, employees working crunch hours, receiving some serious backlash, and some new game footage being released, it’s all going to culminate on December 10 when the long project is finally released, and we cannot wait. CD Project Red unveiled an additional update for those looking to play the game on PC, the requirements list. The company already revealed this list back in September, but they’ve gone ahead and updated it, and now it has support for ray tracing.

As we already mentioned, the PC requirements list for Cyberpunk 2077 was initially revealed back in September, and it isn’t as bad as we thought it was going to be. In both the minimum and recommended sections, the graphic card and processor requirements are not nearly as demanding as some newer titles, which is excellent news for those working with an older setup. The only downside is that the game might not hit the desired 60 fps, and you may have to lower the resolution a bit to avoid screen tearing and stuttering.
If you’re looking to get the maximum benchmarks out of the game, you’ll need to look at the High and Ultra section in the requirements. This list is where most of the higher-end components come into play, especially when it comes to the extra tier that the company added; ray tracing. Cyberpunk 2077 will now include support for ray tracing, but as we stated, it will require quite a bit of upgrading for your PC. If you’re lucky enough to snag the brand new RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 graphics card, then expect to not only hit 60 fps, but also get support for 4k resolution, and the aforementioned ray tracing.
However way you plan to play Cyberpunk 2077, the game is easily one of the most ambitious titles we’ve seen in recent years. Fans have been frothing at the mouth to get their hands on this title since it was announced, and soon enough, they’ll be able to. Cyberpunk 2077 will officially launch on December 10 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC through Steam, GOG, and Google’s Stadia.
