Customize Space Marines to be Something Other than Ultramarines in Space Marine 2’s Co-Op Mode

Games Workshop’s iconic tabletop juggernaut and ever popular (and expensive) war game Warhammer 40,000 proceeds with its march into the video game market and space marine fans have been cheering it on every step of the way. Chief among the various Warhammer 40,000 reveals that have come this week is the trailer for Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a sequel to the ever popular cult classic Space Marine from years ago, and boy this trailer are exciting.

As shown in the trailer, it looks like the co-op multiplayer 3 player campaign will play a big part in Space Marine 2, as you and two of your friends can group up and slaughter your way through Tyranid hordes as you make your way through a pile of dinosaur/bug blood and bones to kill the Hive Lord leading this particular incursion of xenos.

Though that’s probably not the standout for many players here. Ultramarines have long since been established as one of the least popular factions for space marines in 40k, though it’s one that’s been defaulted to players since the first Space Marine, but now you can customize your space marine for the co-op campaign to make him look like a Raven Guard, a Dark Angel, or whatever other customization you can think of.

There are also classes for these marines, focusing on a more ranged sniper type build or going up close and personal with power swords and thunder hammers it looks like there’s going to be a lot of room for player expression in this game come the release date.

And if you want to play dress up with your own 8 foot tall supersoldier’s armor and weapons then look forward to Space Marine 2’s release date on September 9th, 2024 with preorders available now for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

I hope my history in this hobby and my enthusiasm for writing helps me convey news to you accurately and succinctly.
