Cult Classic Gravity Rush 2 To Come To PlayStation 5 And PC This Summer

There was a time when the Playstation was considered the console for experimental games that really played with what was possible within an interactive experience, though the brand has shied away from some of the more off the wall projects there was one title from Japan that many Sony fans latched on to for its amazing blend of unique artstyle, gameplay, and overall tone and that would be Japan Studio’s Gravity Rush series. Gravity Rush was sadly a series that was seemingly destined to stay on the rapidly aging Playstation 4 forever, until news broke that this summer the second installment, Gravity Rush 2, would be coming to the Playstation 5 as well as PC, as reported by wccftech.

Gravity Rush 2 was an absolutely beautiful game with an artstyle that perfectly complimented its literally gravity-defying gameplay. You would take main character Kat throughout a very charming story through the city of Hekseville, using her gravity powers to turn the city upside down helping fulfil fun side quests for the citizens while also unraveling a conspiracy surrounding the city’s leaders and occasionally sleeping in a sewer.

Gravity Rush 2 was considered by many to be almost entirely a straight upgrade to the first Gravity Rush game, only held back by the fact that it was locked to one system, a system that couldn’t support the game above 30 frames per second. But with Gravity Rush 2 coming to both PlayStation 5 as well as PC this year we can truly enjoy this masterclass in game design on modern systems at a frame rate where we can truly enjoy its art design. It is a shame that, as of time of writing, the original Gravity Rush won’t be coming with it.

As wccftech reported, Gravity Rush 2 should be announced in May of this year and release sometime in the summer, so keep an eye out for that. Though, if you truly can’t wait to experience this game yourself, you can always dust off your PlayStation 4 and buy it for that system.

I hope my history in this hobby and my enthusiasm for writing helps me convey news to you accurately and succinctly.
