Crysis Remastered Still Releasing For The Switch On July 23rd

Back on July 2nd, a leaked trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter Crysis Remastered on the Microsoft Store. The leaked trailer received lot of fan backlash which many theorize prompted Crytek to delay the release of the game, which can be supported by their Tweet that by delaying the game, they would have the “… extra time until the release will allow us to get Crysis Remastered up to the console breaking standard you’ve come to expect.” While the game will require some more time to meet fan expectations for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the Nintendo Switch version of the game will still be releasing on the initial July 23rd release date.

According to a Tweet sent by @CrysisCrysis Remastered will still be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on July 23rd. It is currently unknown why the Nintendo Switch version of the game will still be released on its initial release date, but it is possible that Crytek the game only required a few minor tweaks on the Nintendo Switch version to be “…up to the console breaking standard”, or that no changes were necessary or possible to improve the game on the Nintendo Switch.

The Tweet finishes by stating that the account will continue to give updates on the progress, but beyond that, not much more information is available. The release dates for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions have not yet been revealed, but it is likely that more information will be revealed on the @Crysis account at a later date.
