Professional Streamer Corinna Kopf announced on Twitter that she will be making the move from Twitch to streaming on Facebook Gaming. Corinna Kopf will be the biggest female streamer to move onto Facebook. This is coming amidst turbulence that Kopf had with Twitch. She was temporarily banned for violating the terms of service for streaming Fortnite while wearing a revealing tank top that Twitch classified as undergarments. She has subsequently has been airing her grievances with the streaming platform of which she accuses the platform for having double standards for other female streamers. Kopf will have her first Facebook Gaming stream on the 30th of December at 4 p.m. PT.
It is unclear how many of her near half million Twitch subscribers will follow her to Facebook but streamers claim that Facebook can be more profitable due to the much larger user base on the site. The gaming scene on Facebook is not as big as YouTube, Mixer, or the giant that is Twitch but the site is better at directing traffic to streamers, and getting partnered with Facebook can open up more streams of revenue. Facebook has also been implementing new updates to create a friendly streaming service. Kopf has a much larger presence on YouTube and Instagram, with over 1.5 million and 3.2 million subscribers respectively, but her content is mostly unrelated to gaming.

Kopf is not the first large streamer to leave Twitch for Facebook. Back in November, Facebook signed an exclusive contract with Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang. Twitch has been losing large name streamers recently, even loosing its largest streamer “Ninja,” who moved over to Mixer.
