Cooking Mama and Animal Crossing Direct Announced for Nintendo Switch

Making her debut on Nintendo Switch next month, Cooking Mama is returning to help you be the best cook (and photographer) in the newly announced Cooking Mama: Cookstar.

The recently revealed trailer shows off the same mechanics we know and love from the past; chopping food, stirring, and mixing. The trailer even goes as far as to show that you can make Mama upset by messing up the food, but she promises to fix it up so you can still take that Instagram worthy shot (complete with captions and stickers).

Though we are not sure what recipes Mama will exactly be helping us make, we can take a guess what most of the game’s rumored 90 recipes will be. We do get a glimpse of several in the trailer, such as stir fry vegetables, grilled kebabs,  chocolate chip cookies, and what I think was meant to be a rainbow grilled cheese sandwich.

At the same time, Nintendo broadcasted that a new Nintendo Direct episode will be released this week under the name of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.  The new Nintendo Direct presentation will be broadcast on Thursday, February 20th at 9 a.m. ET. Nintendo will broadcast the episode on their Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and Facebook channels.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will reportedly send players on an island vacation with the help of Tom Nook’s new travel agency. The Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package will transport customers to deserted island, where they will begin to start their new life with the other newcomers to the island. The Nintendo Switch game will add a brand new style of customization along with new options and the ability to support up to eight players in local or online multiplayer.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 20th, 2020. Nintendo will also release a special Animal Crossing themed console on March 13th, which is available for pre-order now.
