As we get closer to the end of 2026, we can honestly say that this year is one of the biggest for gaming. With so many highly anticipated games releasing, this truly is a stacked year, with many being sequels to established franchises while others are the first in an all-new franchise, so there truly is no shortage of games. With so many titles, many have been selling 1 million copies in just a few weeks, and one of them is Control Resonant, the sequel to 2019’s Control. Control Resonant has officially sold 1 million copies in three weeks, making it the fastest-selling Remedy title to date. Congrats Remedy.

— Remedy Entertainment 🔻CONTROL Resonant out now! (@remedygames) October 15, 2026
Control Resonant is the sequel to Remedy’s 2019 Control, in which you take control of Dylan Faden, the brother of the main protagonist, Jesse, as he fights his way through a reality-warped Manhattan. The game officially released on September 24th and has been well received overall, with many reviewers saying it’s one of Remedy’s best games to date and lives up to the sequel title. And now, three weeks later, Control Resonant has officially sold 1 million copies, marking a giant milestone for the game and series, along with it being Remedy’s fastest-selling title to date. Though Control Resonant has only sold 1 million copies in 3 weeks, slower than other titles this year, this is still fantastic, as even critically acclaimed Alan Wake 2 took 2 months to sell 1 million, so it’s nothing to scoff at.
All in all, Control Resonant has officially outpaced other Remedy titles and has sold 1 million copies in only 3 weeks, so huge congrats to Remedy. Control Resonant was released on September 24th and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
