Concord, the new 5v5 multiplayer game from developer Firewalk is set to release next month on August 23. Following its initial official gameplay reveal at the latest State of Play in May, this weekend marks the start of the game’s Beta period. With that, Firewalk has released new details about the beta.
The Concord beta will play out over the next two weekends. This weekend, July 12-14 will be the Early Access beta. Pre-ordering any edition of the game will grant players access to the beta as well as four extra codes that can be shared with friends.
Firewalk is also excited to announce that PlayStation Plus members can participate in the Early Access beta weekend. All they have to do is look for the option to download and play the beta when they boot up their PlayStation 5. The Open Beta weekend will begin next week July 18-21.
All 16 of the launch Freegunners characters will be unlocked and available to play and customize. Three modes, Cargo Run, Clash Point, and Trophy Hunt, will be available to play throughout the weekends across four maps: Freewater, Star Chamber, Water Hazard, and Shock Risk.
During the Open Beta weekend, all Early Access content will be available to play along with a new mode, Area Control, and a new map, Bone Mines.
Progress will be carried over between weekends but it will not carry over when the game launches.
Cross-play between PS5 and PC will be supported across both weekends. Firewalk has also shared the PC specs and features for the Concord beta on PC. 4K, Ultrawide 21:9, Uncapped Framerate, KBM and DualSense Controller Support, Custom Key Mapping, FSR 3, and DLSS 3.7 will be supported for the beta.
