Yesterday, new information was released at Comic-Con about the upcoming hack and slash roleplaying game Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 The Black Order. The new information came in a panel revealing information about the game, several updates, and some DLC plans.
For those who don’t know, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 The Black Order is a hack and slash action role playing game based in the marvel universe. The game lets the player choose from a plethora of heroes and villains to both fight against and play as. The story sets you against the Mad Titan Thanos to stop him and his generals from getting the Infinity Stones. Some of the playable characters include Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and many more.
According to the panel, the first DLC Marvel Knight will include Blade, Moon Knight, Punisher, and Morbius. The characters Cyclops and Colossus will be added on as free updates on August 30th. However, while they are both members of the X-Men, they are not a part of the promised X-Men DLC package. Based on a Slide Show Panel revealed at Comic-Con, after the X-Men DLC will come the Fantastic Four DLC package. Both of these DLC’s are set to release in 2019 and 2020, however, the exact date is unknown at the moment. The X-Men DLC will include a new story and several different playing modes, as well as an alternative skin for Deadpool featuring him in a chef outfit.
The DLC’s will not be sold as seperate content. Instead, players will have to purchase an expansion pass for $20. The pass will also be available as a bundle with the game. The first DLC, Marvel Knights will be available in Fall of 2019. This is the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance game to be published by Nintendo instead of Activision. The game was developed by Team Ninja, a Division of Koei Tecmo and is available on the Nintendo Switch today July 19th, for $59.99 or $79.99 if you include the expansion pass.
