Developer Can Can Can a Man has released an ‘Early Access Release Date Trailer’ for their strategy, colony simulation and reverse RPG game Gold Gold Adventure Gold. Gematsu reports that the title will launch for PC on June 20 and that a new demo will be made available on June 6, including improvements provided from feedback in the title’s playtest.

Gold Gold Adventure Gold is set within a fantasy world besieged by monsters spilling forth from a nearby dungeon. Players will assume the role of a mastermind of a new city, responsible for building and managing a new settlement; Your goal is to accumulate gold to recruit and direct greedy adventurers to undertake quests, fights monsters, and expand your reach.

In Gold Gold Adventure Gold you’ll hand out quests and recruit adventurers with the promise of gold to kill, defend and explore. Players can recruit unique adventurers, such as humans, beastmen, mothmen, and the undead. Gold Gold Adventure Gold features a city building system with an economy based on either farming or monster slaying, as well as the ability to collect taxes. You can aid your adventurers by providing better battle items and skills; adventurers can also be fed to your pet God-beast. Night brings ‘Survival Mode’ where you will face waves of enemies. Gold Gold Adventure Gold features a ‘Colony Sim Mode’ which developer Can Can Can a Man describes as “a more relaxed approach in this long-form mode focused on exploration, city growth, and watching your settlement evolve over time.”

Developers Can Can Can a Man intend for Gold Gold Adventure Gold to be a unique colony-building simulator where players adopt the role of an anti-hero. On Gematsu, the developer has gone on to state “In Gold Gold Adventure Gold, you’re not the hero—you’re the one footing the bill.” With this dichotomy and wealth of player option it will be interesting to see how the title is received come June 6.
