Code Vein Cinematic Opening Trailer Revealed, Bundles Announced For Both Consoles and PC

Just a few days ago, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the Code Vein Opening Cinematic Trailer on its Twitter page. The game was previously discussed during this year’s E3 2019 event, where the studio announced the game will see its release this upcoming fall. For those unfamiliar with the title, Code Vein is an action-adventure RPG taking place in a post-apocalyptic world, where vampire-like beings, known as Revenants, must seek out blood in order to survive. If they don’t, they risk giving in to their bloodlust and becoming one of the Lost.

The trailer opens up on a young boy trying to escape from a group of Lost. Before they can reach him though, the monsters are taken out after the sudden appearance of Mia Karnstein and Louis, along with another Revenant from their team. We get to see the group swiftly and skillfully eliminate the Lost, and gifting the child a Blood Bead. The rest of the clip gives players a glimpse at some of the main plot, major characters, weapons, abilities, and showcases the true nature of the Revenants and their primary purpose.

Players looking to experience the game for PC can look forward to additional content, exclusively for the digital release. Pre-order the Code Vein DLC to gain access to the GE 3 Weapon Collaboration, Blood Veil Ogre: Venous Claw, and a Reserved Bloodkin Set. With the Code Vein Deluxe Edition, the player will receive the full game as well as season pass, an alternative set for Mia, and the Insatiable Bloodthirst accessory set. Both can be purchased via the Steam Store or the Bandai Namco Entertainment Store.

The studio also revealed a Collector’s Edition, known as the Revenant Bundle, that will be available for pre-order. This store-exclusive edition will include:

  • The Full Game (PlayStation 4 or Xbox One)
  • A 17cm Mia Karnstein Figurine, complete with both her Bayonet and Stinger weapons
  • Code Vein Collector’s Box
  • The Original Soundtrack (over 20 tracks)
  • An Artbook with exclusive production sketches, as well as concept & guest artwork
  • An in-game customizable set: Insatiable Bloodthirst

If you wish to purchase the Standard Edition, simply head on over to the Bandai Namco Entertainment Official Store to reserve your copy. For those that are interested in pre-ordering the Revenant Bundle, you may have to be patient a bit longer. The game’s pre-order pages, for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, appear to show that the bundle is currently unavailable. There is, however, a waiting list for anyone who would like to be notified of when the bundle becomes available once again.

Code Vein is set to launch on September 27th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more information, be sure to visit the Bandai Namco Entertainment webpage for the game.
