Today indie game developer and publisher Hitgrab has announced that their new game Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag is now available on Steam for both PC and MAC. Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag is a 2D platformer set in Celtic mythology. In Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag you control three heirs to the throne of O’Conall as they try to defeat the Mother of Demons and save their father.
The game consists of platforming, combat, and puzzles utilizing each of the three heirs across three unique worlds. Players will be able to quickly switch between each character in order to make use of their unique abilities. Kilcannon the Sword Master uses both a sword and spear to slash through enemies, Clakshot the Huntress is quick and able to use a bow and arrow, and Haggish the Brute uses brute force to move obstacles and smash enemies. Players will be able to upgrade their characters along their journey to save the father.
The art style of Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag is inspired by manuscript illustrations and bronze age Celtic designs. The game will also feature an original Celtic-inspired soundtrack by MoonWalk Audio. Those who have enjoyed similar games such as the Trine series should definitely give Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag a look.
