Resident Evil VII Biohazard is growing, inviting players back into the familial fold with the release of a Gold Edition of the game for PC, Xbox One and PS4. We’ll avoid any spoilers to the plot, but Resident Evil VII was released to very high reviews, including a perfect score on Destructoid and 9/10 on Polygon. It’s worth noting that 9 is the highest score Polygon gives any game.
What goes into a Gold Edition? All four DLC come gift wrapped in this edition. “Banned Footage Vol. 1” and “Banned Footage Vol. 2” each contain two mini games and a prequel episode that shed more light on the Baker family and their transformation into monsters, we can probably expect some very similiar value in the two DLC packs coming in December.
The first pack, “End of Zoe” will focus on the (spoiler redacted) Zoe, and what becomes of her in the aftermath of the events in Resident Evil VII. The second pack, “Not a Hero”, which will be downloadable for free to people who already own the standard edition, will feature Chris Redfield entering the Baker residence and dealing with the myriad of horrors within using the latest and greatest weapons that the Umbrella Co. has to offer.
The Gold Edition will be a perfect treat for anyone coming to Resident Evil VII fresh, with all aspects of the story open and ready for play. Players who already own the standard edition will also be able to buy the three DLC packs separately. The Gold Edition, along with “End of Zoe” and “Not a Hero” drop on December 12th, so you’ll have to be patient until then, and remember, home is where the hate is.
