CD PROJEKT RED is hard at work on a number of different projects, with development underway on Cyberpunk 2, The Witcher IV, and more. But, it looks like that these weren’t the only things in going on. According to a new report, CD PROJEKT RED is working on some new content for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year.

The rumor has been circulating on the internet for a while, coming from a reported trusted source of the Polish games industry, Borys Nieśpielak. In the Summer of last year, he said that the studio remaking The Witcher 1, Fool’s Theory, is also working on a new Witcher 3 expansion. He reiterated his theory that an announcement would be made during The Game Awards in December but no such announcement came.

Polish Noble Secruties Analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski wrote a report after The Game Awards that said “We expect the next paid add-on (DLC) for The Witcher 3 to be released in May 2026.”

“We assume sales of 11 million copies at $30 each next year. We estimate the production budget at PLN 52 million. The release should kick off the proper marketing campaign for The Witcher 4,” Chrzanowski added. He predicts that The Witcher IV will launch in Q4 2027.

In CD PROJEKT RED’s latest earnings call, Chief Financial Officer Piotr Nielubowicz may have inadvertently confirmed the rumors saying “Given our current progress, there is a chance that new content hinted upon in recent calls and reports may see release in the coming year, having an impact on our results and increasing the likelihood of achieving the earnings condition for the first stage of the incentive program.”

As of now, nothing official has been announced. CD PROJEKT RED said that they will not comment on rumors or speculation.
