Another rumor has circulated that the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 would be delayed again, following the recent delay to December 10. This comes from tweet from an account that garnered some traction following two other video game event theories that turned out to be true. Since the new rumor, CD Projekt Red has come out and dismissed it, saying that the game will come out in December.
The two video game events that eventually came to pass was a Nintendo Direct and the cancellation of E3. For the Direct, the leaker @HotGirlVideos69 predicted that the show would be one of the big Directs and show a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and tease a secret Metroid game. After more reports that the Nintendo Direct would be happening, there was no word from Nintendo who usually announces it beforehand. Then, A Nintendo Direct Mini was released. One of the highlights of the Direct was the announcement of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, a remaster of the original Xenoblade Chronicles.
However, what was predicted by the leaker didn’t come to pass, but there was a Nintendo Direct. A week before the announcement of E3 2020 being canceled, @HotGirlVideos69 said that the event would not happen. “So many of my [my clients] breaking NDA [non-disclosure agreement] stuff is like part of the experience when I make them tell me stuff,” they said. “I never thought about posting it until the E3 thing happened. But now I’m like ‘fuck why didn’t I do this a long time ago.” @HotGirlVideos69 has a PornHub Profile that has been posting videos for over a year. They also do sessions and some of the clients are people from the video games world.
In response to these delay rumors, a CD Projekt Red representative told IGN: “As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors or speculation. But I will confirm we were just taking time to update all of our assets to reflect the new launch date of December 10.”
