Konami, together with developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin, has confirmed that a playable demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will become available on October 1. Progress made in the demo can be transferred directly into the full game once it releases.
The story takes place in Paris during the year 1499. As the city is consumed by fire, monstrous creatures begin emerging from the shadows while the tolling of bells signals impending doom. Trevor Belmont, the hunter who previously defeated Dracula, enters the burning streets with his daughter Rose. Together they wield the legendary holy whip known as the Vampire Killer and confront the beasts streaming from a distant castle. Rose is soon pulled into a deeper conspiracy hidden within, leaving the fate of the city hanging in the balance as she fights to prevent total devastation. The entry continues the series tradition of gothic atmosphere and exploration while diving into the relationship between Trevor and Rose. The demo is expected to introduce players to the burning streets of medieval Paris, the core combat mechanics, and the early stages of the conspiracy that drives the plot. By allowing save data to carry over, the developers have made it possible for those who try the demo to pick up exactly where they left off when the complete experience arrives.
With the demo launching on October 1 and the full version following just two weeks later, players will soon have their first opportunity to step into this chapter of the Belmont legacy. The combination of a familiar hero, a new family dynamic, and a historically grounded setting of a flaming 1499 Paris positions the title as a notable addition to the long-running series. Fans interested in experiencing the early hours can mark October 1 on their calendars and prepare to transfer their progress into the complete game on October 15.
