Capcom’s officially releases trailer for the new Ace Attorney game (Dai Gyakuten Saiban – Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken in Japan), for Nintendo 3DS set in Japan’s Meiji era (Sept. 1868-July 1912), and shows off the two main characters. that The game takes the series into the past more than a century. ‘The latest franchise installment was first mentioned when Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed during a Japan-only Nintendo Direct in February that Capcom was working on a new Ace Attorney project.’
The game will be directed by the series creator Shu Takumi. Producer Shintaro Kojima, who whose work previous included E.X. Troopers and the Monster Hunter series, is also involved with development. Players will be taking the role of the character Ryuunosuke Naruhodo (Naruhodo is the name for Wright in Japanese), who is an ancestor of the series’ lawyer, Phoenix Wright. The video below also shows a female character, Susato Mikotoba, who serves as Ryūnosuke’s assistant.
Last October Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies for 3DS was the most recent game in the Ace Attorney series to be released in North America, which Shu Takumi wasn’t a part of this game, but has been working on the Ace Attorney series since the 2001 original Nintendo DS title, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Later this year, still unknown but the spin-off Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright is scheduled for release on the 3DS.
Currently there are no official words yet for other details like the story, other characters and the gameplay. Also there is no word yet if the game will come out in the US.
