Capcom Releases Two New Resident Evil 7 Clips

Earlier today, Capcom released two new video clips revealing glimpses into the new Resident Evil coming out in the beginning of next year. These videos come in at 7 and 8 in the series, each showing no more than a minute of gameplay of what to expect from the game.

The first video released, the seventh in the series, is named “A Closer Look”. This video shows off the detail put into the game when it comes to investigating items. Without the game being paused, the player will be able to manipulateitems in order to discover hidden clues. This could hint at players needing to choose when and when not to investigate as enemies may come for you while your busy tinkering with objects around the room.  The video highlights the fact that some objects that are picked up will allow players to find ways to interact with them, given they find the right place to look.

The second video, or eighth in the series, is named “Imagination”. The video shows how spooky and dark the game is made to be, more importantly, it shows the potential for puzzles to be a part of the game. The clip shows the player interact with a light to reveal shadows on the wall with objects that presumably are in their possession. By rotating the objects, different shadows on the wall.

By releasing these clips the way they have been doing, they are effectively creating a mystery about what the game is going to be. The videos show more about the game than players obtained through the demo. For a look at all the videos put out you can visit the Resident Evil Youtube channel. Resident Evil 7 will be released on January 24th.
