Huge Capcom fans have been waiting for quite some time for the DLC to the Resident Evil 2 remake. Capcom just announced that its beloved game has finally released a DLC on February 15. Ghost Survivors is an additional feature to the Resident Evil 2 remake game and has displayed some great bone-chilling features.
Similar to The 4th Survivor mode, Ghost Survivors takes players into a “what if ” universe offering alternate stories such as Forgotten Solider, Runaway and No Time To Mourn. The three pre-existing characters fight their way through Raccoon City in the hopes of surviving the zombie apocalypse Raccoon City has been plagued with. The plot follows the gun store owner Robert Kendo, the mayor’s daughter Katherine Warren, and a special forces agent known as Ghost.
A great aspect about this game is that each story can be attempted in a difficult or an easier training mode. By going into training mode players can practice learning the mechanics and get familiar with enemy positions. Kellen Haney, Capcom’s social media specialist, states each story is a “what if” scenario, giving “an alternate look on what things could have been like.” So each story holds its own purpose but continues to have a great amount of creepy and breathtaking grasp on its gaming audience.
This anxiety-inducing and horror thriller game is also considered to be one of Capcom’s best selling and recognized pieces to ever come out of development. The Resident Evil series has sold 85 million copies worldwide and in order to create the remake, 800 developers worked long and hard to bring its gamer audience one heck of a classic horror title.
Capcom announced Ghost Survivors will launch on February 15 and the free expansion will be accessible on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. To read up on the success of the title, check out our coverage here.
