It was announced recently by Capcom, who have developed games such as the Ace Attorney Investigation Collection and the Capcom Fighting Series, that the latest Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will be releasing May 16th, 2025, following from the firt Capcom Fighting Collection. The game will be releasing on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. As of now, players are able to pre-order the game before its official release.
Pre-orders also come with a bonus rearranged songs from Museum Mode, like “Soy Sauce for Geese” and “Rival Schools Medley” arranged by CAP-JAMS. Those who pre-order the physical copy of the game, some of the physical copies will receive an original Capcom vs SNK-based comic, according to their website.
According to the Steam page, the game is as follows: “Choose from fan-favorite games like Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 and Project Justice to 3D action games like Power Stone and Power Stone 2 in this collection of eight classic fighting games! Each game in the collection can be played online or co-op! Get back in the ring and duke it out in battles that everyone rumored, but no one believed! Whether it’s with a rival new or old, give it your all and strive for victory!”
The new collection will be featuring eight of Capcom’s classic games such as Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Project Justice, Power Stone One and Two, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein.All eight of these titles will be playable online utilizing Rollback Netcode, all according to the trailer.
There will be quite a few new features that will be added to Capcom Fighting Collection 2, like online play, a training mode, instruction cards, instant save and loading, EX Settings, over 400 tracks, and up to 600 pieces of art and design documents for players to collect and see.
