On Wednesday, Capcom announced plans for new content for the coming Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. The champion edition of the game was a second version of the Street Fighter V game that released in February of this year. The new version of the game included all costumes, stages, and characters that were introduced during season 4. Capcom also released a special color, EX09, for all fighters for free as a part of the Champion Edition’s release. On Capcom’s Developer blog more information was released about plans for the season v content of the game. According to the developer’s blog post, five new characters will be added in the expansion, “Due to the positive reception to Season 4 and Champion Edition, we are planning to do a final Season “V”, which will add “V” more fighters to the roster. Three new stages are also being planned.” More information on the content will be released later in the summer of this year.
Along with new information about the Champion Edition, Capcom also announced that they would be holding a costume contest, where fans could submit their own costume designs. The Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Costume Design Contest’s website has information about where submissions need to be sent to, as well as rules for the contest. Submissions for the contest will be open until July 21st, then the community will vote for the best designs through Twitter. The voting period will be open until August 21st, and the winners of the costume design contest will have their designs featured in the Champion Edition of the game.
