

Capcom has announced that it had its best-selling 12-month period in its history, marking yet another win for the company who has been on a roll since its revamp of Resident Evil starting with Biohazard and Resident Evil 2. This also marks Capcom’s ninth consecutive year of record profits and is the highest consolidated sales and operating profit in its history.

Capcom sold 59.07 million games in total during the business year ending on March 31. Resident Evil games were a big part of the sales figures. 83.7% of its game sales came from older ‘catalog’ titles. 93% of the games that were sold were the digital download versions.

Capcom has released updated sales figures for its major IP. Resident Evil Requim sold 6.91M. The remake of Resident Evil 4 sold 13.6M. Resident Evil Village sold 14.93M. The Resident Evil 3 and 2 remakes sold 13.36M and 18.32M, respectively. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard sold 17.4M. Devil May Cry 5 sold 12.94M. Street Fighter 6 sold 6.671M. Monster Hunter Wilds sold 11.42M. Monster Hunter Rise sold 18.69M while the expansion Sunbreak sold 11.3M.
Capcom says that it is anticipating net sales of 210,000 million yen and an operating profit of 83,000 million yen, which would result in the company’s tenth consecutive year of record high profit.
