Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One Releases December 3 With The Biggest Free Content Drop In Call of Duty History

The return of Modern Warfare has brought a lot of success for Activision as it has broken numerous records and is the best selling title of 2019 (which isn’t new since it is Call of Duty title). While Modern Warfare isn’t necessarily new, the developers at Infinity Ward have made a lot of changes in supporting this Call of Duty title, compared to pervious entries in the series such as changing the traditional season pass for a free battle pass for everyone. Now, the developers have shared some information about Season One of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, releasing next week on December 3. Season One will be the biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history with new maps, modes, Spec Ops experiences, and weapons available to everyone across all platforms at the same time.

The new maps coming to the game are across a variety of game modes. The new multiplayer maps include Crash, an iconic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map with new flanking routes and action-packed rooftop encounters, Vacant, an abandoned office from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Shipment, the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map where fast and frenetic action reigns supreme. The new map for Ground War is Port where players will battle across massive shipping crates, cranes, buildings and streets. New Gunfight maps include Cargo, an open roof storage vessel for shipping containers, on the docks of London, and Atrium, the centerpiece of a Verdansk palace, still intact despite the conflict raging nearby.

The new modes coming to Modern Warfare include Reinforce, a hybrid of Domination and Search & Destroy where players will have a single life with both teams competing for control of three flags. Gunfight On-Site Procurement (O.S.P) is Gunfight with the twist that players will begin with just their fists and gather equipment as the match progresses. Infected is a survival party mode where it’s hunt or be hunted.

There will be four new Special Ops Experiences. Bomb Squad has forces still loyal to Barkov planting explosives around the city of Al-Raab. Grounded has enemies who have seized Barkov’s former airbase. Pitch Black will have players infiltrate Barkov’s former estate and recover all required intel. Just Reward will have your squad target the head of an enemy financial operation, hacking his data centers, and gaining intel. Two new weapons will be available via the battle pass, the Ram-7 and the Holger-26. More information on what will be available in the battle pass will be revealed on December 3.
