Call Of Duty League 2020 Format Released

Call of Duty League has released some information regarding the upcoming competition. According to IGN, the competition will have 12 teams of five fighting it out in home-vs-away matches. The competition will have teams from all over the U.S. as well as teams from Toronto, London, and Paris.

The U.S. teams will come from Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Minnesota, New York, Florida, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Each team will host a ‘Home Series’ event during the spring and summer. The Home Series will have the various teams fighting it out in best out of five matches playing the soon to be released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The teams with the best win-loss record are able to enter the postseason championship. The post-season championship will have double-elimination playoffs. The season champion will be given their crown at the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend Event. Amateur players will also have a chance to win big with the Call of Duty Challengers Tournament returning. Amateur players will be able to battle against professional players for the chance to win $1 million dollars. Call of Duty Challengers will open in November 2019 and will have pro teams host amateur competitions in their home cities.

Players looking forward to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare might also be glad to know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not feature loot boxes. Instead, the game will feature battle passes, allowing players to enjoy all the content of the game without an extra paywall. This also means that players will be able to know what content they will receive when they earn it or purchase it. The Call of Duty Team explained that the Battle Pass system will not appear on the first day because, “we are all focused on making the Day One experience awesome.” The Call of Duty League will start in 2020 and will be played on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release on October 25th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
