The first teaser for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has been released. The teaser trailer dropped late Wednesday morning alongside an interactive website. The trailer was first spotted by Call of Duty news insider CharlieIntel on X/Twitter.
While there wasn’t any explicit confirmation from Activision, since the interactive TV’s channels on the website only went up to six, many insiders have considered that be a major hint.
The teaser trailer held barely any dialogue, only showing live-action footage of a group sneaking into through closed off federal ground, clips of a mysterious government base, and Mount Rushmore with the eyes of the presidents covered by black blindfolds that spelled out “The Truth Lies” in orange text.
Recently, The Wall Street Journal had reported that Microsoft was planning on releasing a new Call of Duty game this fall for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. However, it’s unclear whether Black Ops 6 will be that game in question, considering the news site alleged that the unnamed game would be taking place during the Gulf War.
Regardless, more information on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will likely be revealed in the very near future, be it later today, this weekend, or even next week. However, with the Summer Games Fest around the corner Call of Duty fans won’t have to wait too long.
The latest game in the Call of Duty Black Ops line, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, released in 2020.
