Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Free On PC via Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has had a varied rotation of free games over the past few weeks, including hit-games Civilization VI and Grand Theft Auto V. For this week, Epic Games has announced that Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is the next free game available to download via the Epic Games Store. Originally $59.99 on the Epic Games Store, players can now download the game for free through the Epic Games Launcher. The Handsome Collection includes the full games of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel along with all DLC and extra content for the games. Once downloaded, the game will also be free for players to keep and will remain in their account’s library forever. For players unfamiliar with the series, Borderlands is series of first-person shooter action-based RPGs set in a “space western fantasy” setting, and is playable as a single-player or in a party of up to four players. The Handsome Collection also includes co-op capabilities for PC players wanting to play with a party. More information about the games can be found on the Epic Games Store Page or the 2K Games official website.

On the 2K games website, a description of the Handsome Collection also shows all content that is available with the collection, along with specifics on what exactly players are getting with it. Both games in the collection will follow and tell the story of the villain Handsome Jack, and how his rise to power came to be through Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2. The Handsome Collection will be available to download for free until June 2nd at 11:00 A.M., when the next free game in the rotation will be released on the Epic Games Store.
