With the latest news on Borderlands 3, the first-ever at-home Borderlands Show revealed some new information and brings fans world-first look at two new upcoming chunks of content that fans will definitely appreciate. The Borderland 3 Team first discusses the Takedown at the Guardian Breach which was their other endgame gauntlet that was able to put fans skills and gear to the ultimate test as it makes its arrival as a free addition within the game on June 4. Joining regular host Greg Miller and Fran Mirabella was Borderlands Stream Team member MituShow, they shared their experience with Takedown at the Guardian Breach. They stated, “Just like Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite, this new Takedown will be an extreme challenge that scales to the number of players in your party but is meant to push a full party of four Vault Hunters to the limit. Besides new enemies to contend with, this Takedown will feature tricky puzzles and low gravity platforming sections to test your wits and hops when you’re not blitzing a path through baddies.”
They continue with, “For this Takedown, Tannis wants to send you on a reconnaissance trip to the planet of Minos Prime so you can track down the source of a mysterious Guardian signal. Upon arrival, you’ll be besieged by a sect of rogue Guardian who have split off from their brethren and have irrevocably transformed Minos Prime.” They also want to point out along with the hordes of new enemies, fans will have to overcome a miniboss and go through a final boss encounter which is a similar structure from the first Takedown. Once fans survival this challenge, they will be rewarded with many new items which will include themed weapons, gear, and collectible cosmetics.
Next, the Team discussed with Gearbox’s Matt Cox, who is the Creative Director on Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption which will be out June 25. They stated that “Bounty of Blood will feature an all-new setting for all manner of shooting-and-looting mayhem. But unlike those adventures, your Vault Hunter will be interacting with a cast of characters you’ve never crossed paths with before, all as part of a story being shared by an unseen narrator.” The new Bounty of Blood will boast a bevy of new game mechanics to make it complement its story which will entail customizable Jetbeast hoverbike that will have fans traverse the open plains of Gehenna in a hurry.
The Team of the Borderlands Show has always revealed new and improved content for their Borderlands 3 fans to get excited about any new developing features coming to the game. Bounty Blood: A Fistful of Redemption and the Takedown at the Guardian Breach is coming out next month on June 25.
