Bloodborne Proving Too Difficult for it’s Own Developers

Bloodborne is one of those games that will test the skills, reaction time, and patience of a gamer. Does this sound familiar? It should, because it is being developed by From Software. They brought us Demon Souls and Dark Souls, two games known for their brutality and unforgiving gameplay. If you are one of the fortunate (or unfortunate depending how you look at it) gamers that have had the pleasure of playing those games, well you know just how difficult they can be. To make it worse, after you beat the game they have what is called “New Game Plus,” which makes the game even harder and can spawn new enemies.

Never before has From Software said they were having problems beating their own game. The president of From Software Hidetaka Miyazaki had this to say in an interview with MCV when asked about New Game Plus “There will be a New Game Plus mode,” he continued it with “We’re having trouble beating it, though.” This will leave lots of gamers curious about how they have stepped up the difficulty to just make it that hard, but hey curiosity killed the cat and we all know in this game it will kill the gamer.

Bloodborne is a spiritual successor to Demon Souls and Dark Souls, and Joe Palmer, product marketing manager at Sony, wanted gamers to know this is not Dark Souls III. Palmer went on to say “The Souls games are phenomenally popular, so ensuring that fans are aware of the common ground they share with Bloodborne is a vital part of our strategy. However, it’s not just the similarities with previous From Software games that we want to communicate; how Bloodborne differs from the Souls series will be at the forefront of our communications.”

Gamers might try to compare this game to Dark Souls, but it seems Miyazaki compares it more to Demon Souls, saying “We didn’t try to make it similar to Demon’s Souls – but nor did we try to make it totally different, either.”

So will the developer’s having problems beating Bloodborne’s New Game Plus make you avoid this game or have you been wanting to test your skills in Bloodborne? For those of you who can’t wait for the release of this game, well you don’t have to wait much longer with it having a release date of March 24th in the US and March 27th in the UK.
