We’re less than a month away from BlizzCon 2019, the convention that celebrates everything Blizzard Entertainment. Tickets tend to sell out almost instantly, and this year’s was no exception. Thankfully, the company has a solution for those who aren’t able to attend in person; the Virtual Ticket. Blizzard has finally made this years Virtual Ticket available to purchase, which you can do here. On top of that, they have also revealed the digital goodies, now called the Epic BlizzCon Extras, which are special in game items for certain Blizzard titles that are exclusive to the event itself.
Level up your #BlizzCon home experience with Virtual Ticket!
Bring a piece of BlizzCon with you into whatever world you call home, and mark the occasion in-game alongside your friends, allies, teammates, guildmates, broodmates, and rivals.

While the Opening Ceremony will be streamed for everyone to watch, there are a lot of other behind the scenes/panels that you will need the Ticket to access during the event. This includes demos of newly announced titles, or updates to existing IP’s. However, the main aspect of the Ticket that everyone gets excited about are the in-game goodies. As we mentioned already, each Blizzard game gets their own special BlizzCon item for you to flaunt in front of other players. We’re going to break down what they’re getting this year from the Epic BlizzCon Extras.
World of Warcraft: WoW gets a couple of cute Murloc pets dubbed Finuin and Gilvanas. named after the respective leaders of the Allaince and Horde, Anduin and Sylvanas. In addition, players will get a nifty new transmog called the Wendigo Woolies outfit, which looks like a comfy winter jacket. These are available in game right now, but it’s important to note that they are NOT available in WoW Classic.
Hearthstone: Blizzard’s massive card-based game will receive the BlizzCon 2019 Card Pack, as well as the Golden Legendary Card which will be revealed at BlizzCon itself.
Heroes of the Storm: Blizzard’s MOBA actually gets some really cool gifts here. Each year we’re treated with a beautiful Celestial Mount, and this time it’s a giant enemy crab called the Celestial Deepcrawler mount. On top of that, we also get a new Nexus Heart spray, which is in tribute to Lana Bachynski who originally created the piece and was a longtime art designer on the game before departing the company in August. These are available right now.
StarCraft II: Players get some extremely cool Brood War Era skins, portraits, and sprays this time around. Included is a Classic Battlecrusier for the Terrans, a Classic Ultralisk for the Zerg, and a Classic Carrier for the Protos. These are available now.
Overwatch: Last but certainly not least is Blizzards popular FPS Overwatch. Fans are in for a real treat this year as not one, but two heroes are getting special in game skins; Genji and Symmetra. Genji has the distinct honor of being re skinned as one of the most famous, or infamous, characters in Warcraft lore, Illidan Stormrage himself. Meanwhile, Symmetra will become the Queen of the Night Elves, Tyrande Whisperwind. These are NOT available at this time, as Blizzard is waiting a little bit before BlizzCon.
Diablo III is also getting a new pair of wings which will be given a date at a later time, as well other bonuses that they haven’t announced. Either way, we’re excited to get our hands on this loot and show it off to everyone. As for the convention, Blizzard is quiet as usual, saving the jaw-dropping moments for their Opening Ceremony. Last year’s was a bit controversial, and they definitely haven’t had the best year so far. Still, they always save their best for last, and if we know anything about Blizzard Entertainment, they always deliver on the surprises. Let’s just hope that they’re good ones.
BlizzCon 2019 will go from November 1, Friday through November 2, Saturday in Anaheim, California.
