Blizzard has announced that a large expansion for Hearthstone is coming this spring called Festival of Legends. The online collectible card game will be receiving an update and and in game events. There will be over 145 new cards added to the game. In celebration of the new cards added, there are new pack sales that are available for pre-purchase in mega bundles of 80 packs, 10 golden packs, 2 golden random legendaries,1 Hedanis Priest full hero skin, and 1 Hedanis card back. The standard bundle will feature 60 packs, 2 non-golden random legendaries and 1 Hedanis card back. Below are a couple of cards that will be featured in the new expansion.
Along with the new cards, new mechanics are being introduced to the game. Each class will have a legendary minion that represents the star musician. It will come with a legendary spell that showcases the musician’s most famous song. Along with these songs, new class instrument weapon cards will be introduced and some come with the Deathrattle effects that improve while playing. In addition to these musicians, the following effects have also been added. If you only control one soloist minion, it will have special battle cry effects. For Harmonic Spells, they will switch between harmonic and dissonant frequencies each turn they’re in hand. And cards with the new finale keyword will receive a special bonus if they use up the remaining mana when played.
The Priest class is getting revamped along with new cards. New class keyword Overheal gives minions with Overheal a special effect that triggers when they are healed at maximum health. A musical event will be held for the Festival of Legends. Players can pick their favorite performers from one of the three concert series and get rewards. The rewards will be separated into three different tracks. These quests will happen in the ranked game mode. The legend takes the stage event will be live when the expansion is released, which will give players opportunities to earn packs for free. Hearthstone is free to play on PC and mobile platforms and Festival of Legends expansion and events will be released in April.
