Pokémon Unite was Nintendo’s first attempt at a first-party MOBA game. And just like many other free MOBA’a on the market, that means DLC characters to keep them gam fresh and revitalized would be coming as well. While 2 DLC characters Blastoise and Gardevoir were already announced, the official Pokémon Unite Twitter account has announced the addition of a new character for the roster. That character is Blissey, and fans won’t have to wait long to game their hands on the tough-as-nails Pokémon.
Blissey is an egg-cellent Supporter Pokémon with moves that heal or increase basic attack speed! Its Unite Move, Bliss Assistance, allows it to dash to an ally’s aid and protect that ally from attacks.

The news arrived this morning in a tweet, giving us a few details about the soon to be added addition to the expanding roster. Blissey will be a Supporter Pokémon, meaning that its forte will be helping out the other attack and defense Pokémon while it sits back and gives them some key stat boosts. Such moves include the ability to heal and increasing the attack speed of other Pokémon, perfect for those who play as Cinderace such as myself! Blissey also comes packing a powerful unite move called Bliss Assistance, which allows Blissey to protect its teammates from incoming attacks.
It’ll be interesting to see how Blissey is implemented into the game, as Blissey has one of the highest HP stats in the Pokémon series. It’s considered more of a tank than a support Pokémon, but as stated before, fans won’t have to wait long to see it in action. Blissey is expected to be released this Wednesday, 8/18. Many fans are left wondering when Blastoise will be joining the playable roster, as it was one of the first DLC Pokémon revealed. With a new Pokémon Presents scheduled for the same day Blissey will be released though, fans may be getting exactly what they’ve been waiting for and more.
