Blightbound Making its Way to PC and Console on July 27

The multiplayer dungeon crawler from Devovler Digital, Blightbound, is making its way to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on July 27. The new version of the game will feature cross-play abilities that will allow 3 players to team up with one another to face off with Blight, a mysterious and corrupting fog that has engulfed the mountain abode. With new and improved handcrafted dungeons and puzzles, players will be able to assume the role of a warrior, assassin, or mage to take on various challenges and to defeat powerful ‘bosses.’

In the console and PC versions, players will be able to explore hand-crafted dungeons, fight monstrous creatures, grab loot, and help wounded heroes initiate recovery so that they can be added to your roster. With each hero comes unique skillsets, abilities, and narrated stories, so be sure to keep a lookout for them as these heroes can be an asset to your gameplay. In addition, loot can be crafted into items that can enhance your characters in battle and improve their overall capabilities.

Another way to improve your individual character’s capabilities is through the distinct class roles that will reward your team play. Because each player fulfills a specific role, it is going to be important to keep in mind that upgrading your abilities is also largely dependent on how your team performs together. For example, the mage is responsible for healing allies, the warrior is responsible for containing block damage, and the assassin is responsible for interrupting enemies. The more you work together, the more these specific skill sets will enhance.

So far, the game has been available on Stream Early Access with routine updates for players. Some of the views have been mixed, with many players mentioning that the current version has been lacking in content. But, there is still hope, the July 27 version of Blightbound will be the game’s 1.0 version, which is said to feature more than the early access version of it.
