Today developer Hungry Couch Games and publisher tinyBuild announced that their new game Black Skylands will be launching on Early Access on June 11. The game will be available on PC through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Described as Stardew Valley meets Bioshock Infinite, Black Skylands is an open-world action game where players pilot their own skyship.
In Black Skylands, you play as Eva as she fights against bandits who killed her father. The game is a top-down shooter where players freely explore the world encounter different locations such as farms, jungles, snowy lands, and the Black Skylands. combat takes place both on land and while piloting the skyship.
Players will use an arsenal of different guns as well as a grappling hook to take out enemies. Players are able to customize their skyships to fit their play style. A major part of the game is building and managing an aerial base in order to use valuable buildings such as a workshop, a laboratory, a garden, or a factory. Players will need to use proper planning to make sure that their base is capable of defending itself against attacks. To expand the power of their faction players will have to forge alliances and clear out areas. By expanding their power, players will gain access to new resources, researches, characters, and other features.
Black Skylands will release on Early Access on June 11 through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Those who are interested in the game are currently able to wishlist it on Steam in order to be notified when the game finally releases.
