Black Cloud Studios has released new images and information on all the races for their upcoming Fallout-esque post-apocalyptic RPG After Reset.
Indie studio Black Cloud Studios has been avidly pursuing Kickstarter support for their post-apocalyptic survival RPG After Reset. After an initial successful run back in the early days of the crowd-funding platform the studio has run a second, equally successful Kickstarter to work with more, newer content for the game. With funding for the base game already complete, the company is on to trying to raise enough for more high-end content, but for now, they have released profiles on the several types of sentient and non-sentient creatures players will meet on their journey through After Reset.
The list of creatures set to appear in the upcoming indie game covers a wide spectrum of types of living things, from humans to biomass to ethereal wisp-like beings called Incorporeals that seem quite different from the standard ilk players find in post-apocalyptic RPGs. After Reset’s Kickstarter page has more information, and the developers plan to continue updating the news feed on the site as new screenshots and information come available.
Starting with the page for Humans, you can then proceed through animals, insects, plants, synthetics, and biomass before reaching the Incorporeals themselves, with each section including a blurb on the category as well as concept art of the creatures involved.
Overall, the game is shaping up to have a lot of great ideas, and if it lives up to the hype it is building up around itself (and old-school gamers’ expectations) the game is likely to have a cult following right out of the gate as it gives players a new game in the style of classics like Fallout, Wasteland, and Bioware’s classic Infinity Engine games. After Reset is trying its best to fully embrace these themes, and if its Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight pages are anything to go by gamers are more than willing to help it along its journey.
After Reset is planning to release later this year on Steam and other digital platforms, and will be available for PC, Mac, and Linux.
