Bioware Teases The Next Dragon Age & Mass Effect At The Game Awards 2020

Recently, Bioware shared an update regarding some of the games that they have in development after the departure of Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah from the studio. Two of the games that they are working on are for the Mass Effect series. They recently announced Mass Effect: Legendary Edition which is remaster of the original trilogy of games. With that announcement, Bioware shared that they are also working on the next game in the Mass Effect series. Leading up to The Game Awards 2020, Bioware revealed that they would share a new look at the next Dragon Age. However, to probably everyone’s surprise, they also provided a sneak peek at the next Mass Effect.

The next Mass Effect is being worked on by a veteran team at Bioware. They are currently in pre-production on the game. Talking about what’s next, Bioware said: “We’ve got a lot more in store for the Mass Effect universe and while we’ve got a long runway ahead of us before we’ll be ready to show you more, we hope the teaser set the tone for where we’re headed next. The teaser is full of hints about what we are planning, and we hope you have fun finding them all!”

“Rich, branching narratives, choices with consequences, and intriguing characters are central to the entire Dragon Age franchise, and we’re putting a lot of work into these. You’ll form relationships with companions who will fight by your side when you experience this true saga set in Thedas, a world in need of a new kind of hero,” Bioware said. Dragon Age 4 was originally revealed at The Game Awards two years ago in 2018.

The developer said that more information about the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect as well as other titles that they are working on such as Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and Anthem Next in 2021.
