From the developer that brought you The Cat That Got The Milk, The Typing of The Dead: Overkill, and Button Affair, Modern Dream brings you a 70’s action packed cop themed top down 3D shooter, LA Cops. You will be able to grab your hands on LA Cops next week on July 30th for iOS, Android, and PC/Mac via Steam Early Access, with more platforms to come. The game will be made available on Steam for £8.99.
In LA Cops, players will be able to take control of two characters at a time. Have one of the characters cover you, while you kick that door open and fire at enemies, or have the other character get into position to fire after you lure them close to you. The characters you will get to see and choose from include Kowalski, Murphy, Borland, Williams, and others. Every character has different abilities and weapons, and also strengths and weaknesses. The gameplay is inspired by Syndicate and modern top down shooters.
Ollie Clarke, team lead said “There aren’t enough top down hardcore shooters out there right now. With LA Cops we want to make one that not only scratches that itch but is great fun to play, has that tactical element and celebrates the handle bar mustache in Pop Art inspired style.”
Helana Santos, Lead Programmer adds “We’ve worked really hard to ensure that this Early Access version offers a really polished taste of the full game. We’re hoping to hear what players think and work with them to make it that much cooler before releasing the full high quality experience”
The full LA Cops version of the game will feature:
● Eight levels to play through. Each level is broken down into multiple sections totalling
twenty overall.
● Six Cops to choose from each with their own attributes that can be upgraded with
experience points during play. Attributes include health, speed, ammo clip size & damage.
● Five weapons to take out bad guys with including Pistols, Uzis, Shotguns,
Assault Rifles & Grenade Launchers.
● Destructible scenery, you can’t clean up a town without making a mess.
● Multiple cut scenes tell the story of these Cops in full 3D. Just like people, not all Cops are
bad & not all Cops are good.
● Plus a Rock soundtrack that needs to be played loud OK?!
