Leading up to the end of the month launch, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 has released a final trailer that gives more insight into what players can expect to encounter throughout the campaign. Billions of lives will be at stake and players must go full force into an intergalactic battleship war to save them.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a real-time strategy game that has been adapted from Games Workshop’s tabletop game, which portrays space battles of epic proportions. Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos Interactive are expanding upon the foundations of the first game in the series not only adding to the story, but including all twelve factions from the tabletop game at launch with more than eighty subfactions. The second installment will allow for larger fleets with “the ultimate Warhammer 40,000 space naval warfare experience.” The developers have also updated this title with refined gameplay and additional choices in ship customizations.
Multiplayer will have improved modes and setup for a better online experience. This will also include a Ranked mode for veteran or more competitive players. In regard to the story, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will tell its tale from different points of view with three solo campaigns available as either the Tyranids, Necrons, or Imperium. There will be a general prologue before any of these campaigns getting players up to speed with the lore. Check out the new, intense campaign trailer focusing on dominance and saving lives:
The developers have made available two guides in order to get players ready to battle at launch. There is a Quick Start Guide for some general information, but How to Start Guide that includes more detailed information and day one strategies. The small team that is working on the game has announced that the cooperative mode that will be available at release will be in an early access state. But, players will still be able to fight alongside each other and explore space in the Eye of Terror as they fight against or with renowned characters.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 comes to PC owners on January 24.
