Battlefield 1 Confirmed, Slated For October 21st

Today during DICE’s Battlefield live stream, it was announced that the next game in the popular franchise will be Battlefield 1 and it will be set in World War 1.

But you all know this already since it was leaked hours before DICE had a chance to say anything about the game.

It was during the stream that DICE showed off the first trailer for the game, which you can check out below.

The trailer gives fans a look at horse-backed cavalry, desert dog fights and early era tanks all set to the tune of White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army.

Battlefield 1 will have some several editions, according to Polygon, the standard edition ($60), the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition ($80)  and a Collector’s Edition ($220).

The Early Enlister Edition comes with the Red Baron and the Lawrence of Arabia Packs, both of which contain themed weapons, vehicles and items, five Battlepacks, as well as early access to the game on October 18th. EA Access and Origin members will also get to play the game early.

The Collector’s Edition comes with some cool swag too. You can see what $220 bucks buys you in the picture below. No word on if the Collector’s Edition also grants access to the game on October 18th.

Expect to hear more about Battlefield 1 at EA Play, EA’s event taking place on June 12th, right before E3.

Battlefield 1 will be out on October 21st for everyone for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. For those who can’t wait, you can play the game on October 18th when you buy the Early Enlister Edition or sign up for EA Access.
